Our Team – The Heart of Sakata Foundation

At the heart of the Sakata Foundation is a passionate and dedicated team that shares a common purpose: to uplift and empower the most vulnerable among us—orphans, the elderly, and helpless women. Our team is not just made up of professionals, but of compassionate individuals who have committed their lives to being a source of hope and comfort to those who need it most.

Each member of our team brings unique strengths, experiences, and a deep-rooted passion for service. Whether they are working directly with families in need, organizing community events, or managing the foundation's programs, they are driven by a shared belief that every person deserves dignity, love, and support.

Our mission

At Sakata Foundation, our mission is simple yet profound: to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity to the most vulnerable members of our society—orphans, the elderly, and helpless women. We are dedicated to providing essential support, including food, shelter, education, and emotional care, to those who need it most.

We believe that every child deserves a nurturing environment, every elderly person should be cared for with respect, and every woman in need should have the chance to rise above her circumstances. By addressing their basic needs and providing compassionate support, we strive to create lasting change that empowers individuals and strengthens communities.

Our mission is to stand beside those who have been forgotten or left behind, offering a lifeline of love and opportunity. We are committed to building a future where no one is left to suffer in silence, where every person can live with dignity, and where hope is not just a word, but a reality.

Together, we aim to transform lives—one heart, one family, one community at a time

Our vision

“Building communities where access to key basic needs is not a worry”

Our team

Our strength lies in our individuality. Set up by Shafic Kivumbi. Growing up with a single mother and also under the care of a grandmother alone, life wasn’t always so easy. As a young boy, I at many times experienced a number of hardships like hunger and lack of school fees to support my studies since my mom had a whole family of nine (09) children to carter for as a single mother.

This became a life purpose and assignment pushing me to search for colleagues and fellows with a similar cause, aim and mind to start up this foundation that we can work hand in hand to build communities where accessing basic needs is never a worry.
